Alek ha avuto una prima introduzione alla musica, imparando a suonare il pianoforte per tutta la sua infanzia. Fu attraverso questo che Alek iniziò ad immergersi negli stili dei pianisti classici delle generazioni precedenti così come nella musica dei compositori contemporanei, prima di forgiare il proprio percorso musicale attraverso l'improvvisazione e la composizione. Alek è cresciuto a Roma, inizialmente studia musica classica, prima nella scuola di musica " Anton Rubinstein" con Sasha Bajcic e Andrea Feroci poi presso il conservatorio "Santa Cecilia"di Roma dove si diploma in pianoforte e musica da camera. Contemporaneamente si appassiona e approfondisce lo studio dell'improvvisazione e della musica Jazz con Andrea Beneventano, Stefania Tallini e Ramberto Ciammarughi.

Per la crescita e la formazione personale trae ispirazione da artisti come Keith Jarrett, Max Richter, Brad Mehldau, Bill Evans, Michel Petrucciani, Enrico Pieranunzi,Esbjorn Svensson, Miles Davis, Nils Frahm, Murcof, Portico Quartet, Radiohead, Gogo Penguin e persino i Beatles. “È ciò che collega tutti questi artisti che mi ispira, il loro approccio speciale alla musica e al suono. ”
Ma le ispirazioni di Alek non sono solo musicali, ha tratto ispirazione dai luoghi che ha vissuto e visitato. “Riguarda il sentimento, l'atmosfera generale, a volte i ricordi e le memorie. tutto mi ha cambiato come persona, quindi immagino, mi ha influenzato anche come artista."
“Uno può perdersi ma può trovare casa nella sua parte interiore – che può significare molte cose – immaginazione, mente, memoria, intuizione, passione. Penso fermamente che quando ci troviamo in tempi incerti e viviamo una vita instabile possiamo ancora raggiungere un rapporto profondo con noi stessi e con gli altri ed essere in grado di trovare 'casa' ovunque. Questo è ciò che vorrei esprimere con la mia musica: si può viaggiare per il mondo intero ma non vedere niente. Non conta dove stiamo andando ma quanto siamo in grado di vedere e sentire le cose che accadono intorno a noi”.
“Trovo che ciò che ispira davvero la mia musica non sia la musica, ma tutte le altre cose. Prendo ispirazione per la forma dei miei pezzi dall'architettura e dal design, dal cinema e dalla pittura. Quindi traduco questa lingua "straniera" nella mia musica e il risultato è molto più interessante per me che ottenerlo semplicemente dalla musica." In effetti, per Alek spesso viene prima un'immagine o un colore, quella che lui chiama un'immagine sonora.
“Riesco davvero a sentire i colori, l'atmosfera, proprio come con la fotografia. Se l'immagine è abbastanza forte, i suoni arrivano molto velocemente, cercando di costruire l'immagine giusta creata nella mia testa. La musica riempie lo spazio, la musica porta nuovi mondi, nuovi spazi."

But Alek's inspirations are not only musical. He has drawn inspiration from the places he has lived and visited. “It's about the feeling, the general vibe, sometimes memories and memories. Everything changed me as a person, so I guess, it also affected me as an artist."
"One can get lost but can find home in his inner part - which can mean many things - imagination, mind, memory, intuition, passion. I firmly believe that when we find ourselves in uncertain times and live an unstable life, we can still achieve a deep relationship with ourselves and with others and be able to find 'home' anywhere. This is what I would like to express with my music: you can travel the whole world but see nothing. It doesn't matter where we are going but how much we are able to see and hear the things that are happening around us".
“I find that what really inspires my music is not the music, but all the other things. I take inspiration for the shape of my pieces from architecture and design, cinema and painting. So I translate this 'foreign' language into my music and the result is much more interesting to me than just getting it from the music itself.” In fact, for Alek an image or color often comes first, what he calls a sound image.
“I can really feel the colours, the mood, just like with photography. If the image is strong enough, the sounds come very quickly, trying to build the right image created in my head. Music fills space, music brings new worlds, new spaces."
